Justin Bua: Illustrator, Painter and Teacher

Bua in my mind is an urban artist that depicts urban life and culture through his unique style of drawings and paintings. I think what drew me towards his work was his unique style of exaggerating the human form of his characters. A common theme that I found in his paintings was music, which showed people singing or performing. On the other side you see his version of urban life with people playing basketball, chilling with friends or just getting up to trouble.

Justin Bua has come a long way since his days growing up in New York city where he attended New York's High School of Performing arts, which is also referred to as F.A.M.E....*sings*

I gonna live forever.
I'm gonna learn how to fly, High!

Anyways, back to business Bua has gone on to work on projects with EA sports for games such as, "NBA Street" and "NFL Street" and even has his own shoe line. Nowadays, Bua teaches figure drawing at USC. It seems that there is no area that Justin Bua hasn't reached in his career as an artist. He has truly adapted his work to the evolving nature of art in todays society.
